The elephants were here first
A good safari is good for the animals too. These are the simple rules every one of our drivers follows.
We keep our distance
We stay well back from the elephants and never block their path. If an elephant walks towards us, we give it room.
Engine off when we stop
Once we're watching a herd, the engine goes off. It's quieter for them and much better for you.
No chasing, no crowding
We don't race to sightings or squeeze in between other jeeps. If a spot is crowded, we find another one.
No feeding, no noise, no litter
Never feed wild animals. Keep voices low, and everything you bring in goes back out with you.
We stay on the tracks
Driving off the tracks damages the grass the elephants eat. Our drivers stick to the park rules and speed limits.
Your driver has the final say
If the driver says it's time to move, it's for your safety and the animals'. Elephants are gentle, until they aren't.
